my professional interests:

I am very interested in the transportation & logistics sector. Also I am very interested in travelling and visiting different countries in the whole world. So it is my objective to work for a big international logistics company after the end of my studies.

The first time I got in touch with the logistics sector was already during my school attendance.
The reason for that is the special business school which I have visited for three years.
During my study my interest even increased so I have chosen logistics as my major subject.
Besides that I spent my first compulsory internship in the logistics department of one of the biggest milk companies in Europe in 2008. It was really interesting and instructive because a perishable product like milk or yogurt requires a well-functioning logistics.
Due to that internship I could gather first professional experiences in that area.

When I´ll get my degree in 2011 I think there will be many different areas of the logistics sector in which I would like to work. Right now for example I am interested in working for an airline or for an airport, shaping/improving the logistical processes in the background.

In my opinion transportation & logistics will become increasingly important in the future. Even more than it is already right now.
The reason for that is the globalization. Trade barriers are decreasing and more and more people and goods must be transported all over the world.
Many companies in the industry are following manufactures into new sales markets and supply chains often stretch around the world and require a global business strategy.
